Husker baseball coach Darin Erstad announced Wednesday night that assistant coach Will Bolt will be leaving the program.

Bolt, a former Husker player, will join the A&M staff of Rob Childress, a former NU assistant coach.

Bolt was named associate head coach at Nebraska in 2011. He was a four-year starter and a team captain on NU's 2001 and 2002 College World Series teams.

Below is a statement from Head Coach Darin Erstad on Will Bolt taking an assistant coach position at Texas A&M.

“I appreciate everything Coach Bolt has done as a member of our coaching staff the past three seasons. Both as a player and most recently as a coach, Will has helped make Nebraska baseball what it is today. Will, his wife, Lauren, and their two sons, Jaxson and Austin will always be Huskers.”
