Omaha Police investigating south Omaha bank robbery

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Police are investigating a Thursday afternoon bank robbery.

Police say the robbery at First Interstate Bank near 48th and L Street was reported just before 12:30 Thursday afternoon. Investigators say officers spoke with witnesses who said that two suspects entered the bank with guns and demanded an undetermined amount of cash. Police say the robbers then left the bank, headed northbound.

  • Suspect 1 was described as a tall male with a large build, ski mask, grey hoody and armed with a silver handgun.
  • Suspect 2 was described as tall, wearing a ski mask, black hoody and armed with a black handgun.
