Man critically injured in domestic violence stabbing in north Omaha

(Omaha, NE) -- A man is critically wounded in a domestic violence assault.

Omaha Police say just before 11:45 Wednesday morning, officers were called to a home near 22nd and Grand Avenue for a domestic violence assault. Investigators say once on the scene, officers found a critically injured 61-year-old man. Medics transported the victim to the Nebraska Medical Center with a life threatening injury.

The suspect, a 56-year-old Harriett Dillard, was booked into Douglas County Corrections for 1st degree assault and use of a weapon. The investigation is ongoing.
