(Omaha, NE) -- A Council Bluffs man killed an a Monday morning crash is identified.
Omaha Police say just before 7:00 Monday morning, an Acura, driven by 59 year old James McCoy, was northbound on Abbott Drive near Locust when it was hit by a turning school bus. Investigators say according to witnesses, the westbound school bus ran the light. The school bus is owned by First Student of Council Bluffs and there were no students on the bus at the time of the crash.
McCoy was declared dead at the scene. The school bus driver, 43 year old Kevin Downing of Council Bluffs, was taken to Nebraska Medicine for complaints of pain. The crash remains under investigation.
