Five suspects arrested in Council Bluffs home invasion

(Council Bluffs, IA) -- Five people are arrested in connection to a Council Bluffs home invasion.

Council Bluffs Police say just before 12:30 Tuesday afternoon, officers were called to a home near 1st Avenue and 7th Street for a home invasion. Police say that a man and woman told officers that four men broke into the woman's apartment, assaulted the man and stole property from the home. Police say the suspects fled the scene in a white, 4-door Pontiac sedan driven by a woman.

CBPD say the suspect vehicle was located about two miles away, near 24th Street and 9th Avenue. Investigators say all five people in the Pontiac were taken in for questioning and were all later arrested. The suspects booked into corrections on Robbery and Burglary charges. The suspects are:

  • 29 year old Jess Willard Pfarr, of Council Bluffs, Iowa
  • 20 year old Gage Rose, of Council Bluffs, Iowa
  • 30 year old Frank Stewart Jr., of Council Bluffs, Iowa
  • 20 year old Kendrick Arredondo-Beltran, of Bellevue, Nebraska
  • 35 year old Valerie Claar, of Council Bluffs, Iowa

The male victim was treated at the scene and released with minor injuries from the assault. No other citizens were injured during the home invasion.
