Omaha Police investigating two overdose deaths

(Omaha, NE) -- An investigation us underway after two women die from drug overdoses.

Omaha Police say the women died at an apartment near 70th and Hascall Street just before 3:00 Sunday afternoon. Investigators say Omaha Fire Department medics also transported a man and a woman from the scene to CUMC - Bergan Mercy Hospital. This investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with information about these overdoses, or on any illegal narcotics sales or use in Omaha are urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP, at www.omahacrimestoppers.org or on the P3 Tips mobile app.

OPD would also like to remind citizens of Nebraska State Statute 28-472, which grants amnesty from criminal prosecution to anyone who requests emergency medical assistance in response to a drug overdose of himself, herself, or another person.
