Omaha Police issue warrant for man wanted in First National Bank robbery

(Omaha, NE) -- The Omaha Police Department identifies a man wanted in connection to a December bank robbery.

OPD says a felony arrest warrant has been issued for 28 year old Traynell Toney in regards to the December 20th First National Bank robbery at the HyVee at 50th and Center. Investigators say the afternoon of December 20th, witnesses told officers that they saw a black man approach a bank teller and handed her a note demanding money. Police say after receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect, believed to be Toney, fled the area in a brown or gold Chevy Equinox with no plates.
