Omaha Police looking for attempted armed bank robbers

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a pair of would be bank robbers.

The Omaha Police Department says just after 8:30 Friday morning, officers were called to the Bank of the West at 135th and West Maple Road for an attempted bank robbery. Investigators say witnesses told officers that two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the bank behind employees as they were unlocking the doors for business. Police says the suspects demanded money from bank employees but were unable to obtain any. They say the suspects then fled the bank.
