(Papillion, NE) -- A man is arrested, accused of threatening a pastor and church secretary at knife-point Thursday afternoon.

Papillion Police say just after 2:30 Thursday afternoon, officers were called to Wildewood Christian Church, located near 84th and Giles Road. Lt. Ray Higgins tells WOWT 6 News that the pastor and his secretary barricaded themselves in their offices after the man threatened them and wouldn’t leave the church. Officers were able to help the pastor and secretary exit the building.

Higgins says the man eventually left the building and was “taken down” by officers, cuffed, and taken to the hospital as a precaution. Investigators confirm that SWAT had been called to the area, but were called off. Higgins says the pastor didn’t recognize the man, but thought he might be a homeless man seen eating and destroying food at the church earlier in the day.

Law enforcement are working to identify the man.
