A Pet Gets The Blame For An Elkhorn Area Fire

Omaha Fire investigators say a pet caused the late Sunday afternoon fire at 3101 N. Main St. in the Elkhorn area.

They say a stove was turned on by the pet, igniting nearby combustibles.

The fire was extinguished quickly.

No people were home at the time of the fire, and the two dogs were rescued by fire crews.

No injuries were reported.
