Man arrested after cutting on I-680

(Omaha, NE) -- An Omaha woman is stabbed after calling for help with her broke down car.

The Omaha Police Department says around 1:30 Thursday afternoon, officers were called to the area of I-680 and 72nd street for a stabbing. Once on the scene, officers met with 30 year old Arnetta Swift, who told officers that her car had broken down in the area and two people had come to help her. Police say while trying to fix the vehicle, an altercation broke out. Investigators say during the altercation, Swift was cut. Police scanner traffic from the time of the incident indicated Swift had a superficial cut to the neck and a puncture wound to one of her arms.

OPD says 32 year old Tommy Ivory was taken into custody at the scene. Ivory was booked into Douglas County Corrections for 2nd Degree Domestic Assault, Use of a Weapon and Tampering with Evidence.
