Two taken into custody following morning standoff in Omaha

(Omaha, NE) -- Two people are arrested after an early Thursday morning standoff in Omaha.

The Nebraska State Patrol and Omaha Police Department arrested 25 year old Percy Eubanks and 24 year old Lauren Moll following the standoff. The state patrol says around 2:45 Thursday morning, investigators received information about an inmate, Eubanks, who had absconded from Omaha Community Corrections.

The NSP says officers located a vehicle believed to be associated with Eubanks at an apartment complex near 96th and Jefferson. Investigators say they identified an apartment believed to be the residence of Eubanks’ spouse, Moll. The state patrol says investigators attempted to make contact with the couple, but knocks on the door went unanswered. Investigators say thats when the NSP SWAT Team was called to the scene, with negotiations eventually established with the couple inside the apartment.

The state patrol says around 10:15 a.m., Eubanks and Moll voluntarily exited the apartment and were taken into custody. Eubanks was booked into Douglas County Jail for absconding. Moll was arrested for aiding and abetting a fugitive and obstruction.
