The State Labor Department reports Nebraska's jobless rate has dropped to 2.2-percent, the lowest recorded level in state history.
It is the lowest unemployment rate in the nation.
More than 101-thousand Nebraskans worked in manufacturing in August.
That figure is the highest total in manufacturing since August of 2008.
Unemployment holds steady in Iowa. Iowa Workforce Development puts the August unemployment rate at four-point-one percent, the same as July.
