(Omaha, NE) -- The City of Omaha announces the dates for Fall yard waste collection and neighborhood cleanups.
Free, unlimited yard waste collections will run October 18th through November 27th. During that time, FCC Environmental will collect yard waste in brown lawn bags without a pre-paid sticker. Yard waste will just need to be put out on your regular trash collection day and FCC will pick it up. Yard waste collected during this time will be used to produce Oma-Gro compost that will be used next year.
Meanwhile, neighborhood cleanup sites will be open on Saturdays October 2nd through October 24th. Each week will have a designated location where things like large appliances, tires and furniture can be disposed of. Residents can not drop off things like, rocks, concrete, propane tanks or household hazardous waste. The schedule for the neighborhood cleanup dates is below:
