The driver was not hurt as the front loader of the private contractor's truck started burning in the eight a.m. portion of rush hour Tuesday at 72nd and McKinley Streets.
The driver told a witness that he looked back and saw flames shooting from the wiring on the external part of the truck, which was quickly engulfed in flames.
