Three people walk in to metro hospitals with gunshot wounds

(Omaha, NE) -- Three people walked in to Omaha area hospitals Friday morning with gunshot wounds.

The Omaha Police Department says just before 2:00 AM, officers were called to Nebraska Medicine for a walk-in shooting victim. Police say the victim, 33 year old Vincent McGee suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

At about the same time OPD says officers responded to CHI Creighton for a another walk-in shooting. At CHI Creighton, officers spoke with two more victims, 24 year old male Tayzhon Hampton and 20 year old Graciana Lawver, who had both been shot. Hampton was transferred to Bergan Mercy Hospital where it was determined his injuries were non-life-threatening. Lawver was taken to the Nebraska Medicine where it was determined her injuries were serious, but not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the location and circumstances of the shootings are still under investigation, but they are believed to be connected. The investigation is ongoing.
