Several Nebraska health care institutions say they will require all their employees to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Nebraska Medicine, CHI Health, Methodist, Boys Town National Research Hospital, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals, Bryan Health, Childrens', and Midwest Surgical Hospital made the joint statement Thursday.
Their leaders say the vaccine is safe and effective at protecting against serious infection and hospitalization.
The health entities say provisions will be made for unvaccinated employees and physicians to apply to their employer for a medical or religious exemption.
