In accordance with federal government and Defense Department orders, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska now requires all their uniformed military, federal employees, onsite contractor employees, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask indoors.
Social distancing is also in place at the base, which is the headquarters of the U.S. Strategic Command.
According to a tweet from the base south of Bellevue, CDC data indicating Sarpy County’s increase in community transmission of COVID-19 was a factor in the new order.
