Some Advice For Another Heat Wave

A Heat Advisory will be in effect Tuesday through 9 p.m. Wednesday for large portions of east central and northeast Nebraska and southwest and west central Iowa including the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro area.

Heat index values up to 105 expected;

The Omaha Office of the National Weather Service has some safety tips as we go through the heat wave the next few days;

Heat is a hazard with far reaching effects.

The weather service says it impacts the job site, travelers, any outdoor activities, and even those who are indoors (if they don't have air conditioning). As we progress through the heat wave this week, keep heat safety in mind and stay safe.

Heat can be just as hazardous for your pets as it is for you. Make sure your pets have ample water and a place to stay cool.
