Omaha Firefighters battled a large brush fire a little after 3 a.m. Friday at Levi Carter Park that had smoke wafting across northeast Omaha. It was in a large pile of tree debris from the windstorm two weeks ago.

Investigators look for a cause as hotspots are monitored;

The debris piles will grow as curbside tree debris collection will continue for another week in the City of Omaha.

It was to end Friday, but it will now end on Friday, July 30th.
