Two assault suspects arrested, one person still on the run

(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Police say two suspects involved in a Tuesday assault are behind bars, but another suspect remains on the run.

OPD says just after 4:45 Tuesday evening, officers were called to the area of 47th and Nicholas for a cutting. Investigators say officers spoke with the victim, 25 year old James Seals, who had apparent knife and blunt force trauma injuries. Police says Seals told officers that he was attacked by three people. Seals reported that a man held him while two women, one armed with a hammer and the other armed with a knife, attacked him.

OPD says officers in the area located the two female suspects, 36 year old Tiffany Deemer and 27 year old Kyla Jones. Both women were booked into Douglas County Corrections on charges of Felony Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.

Police say the male suspect has not been located and the investigation continues. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP, at www.omahacrimestoppers.org or on the P3 Tips mobile app.
