Flood-Damaged Nebraska Trail And Bridge To Reopen

The "Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District" says a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand re-opening of the "Lied Platte River Bridge" and "MoPac Trail," which were damaged by the flood of 2019, will be this Saturday, July 3rd, at 11 a.m.

The event will be at the Lied Bridge trailhead parking lot on Nebraska Highway 31 in Sarpy County and 328th Street in Cass County.

The Lied Bridge is the only crossing along the Platte River that connects Lincoln and Omaha by the MoPac Trail.

The former Missouri Pacific Railroad bridge was converted to bicycle and pedestrian access in 2001.
