Officers went to "Speedy's Shop" at 13th and Vinton Streets around 4:45 a.m. for a report of a robbery.
Police say the clerk told them a Black male, possibly mid 20's, 5'8," wearing dark clothes, entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded cash.
After getting an undetermined amount of cash, he fled the store northbound on foot.
No injuries reported;
