(Omaha, NE) -- A 19 year old son is behind bars for reportedly shooting his father early Sunday morning.
Omaha Police say at midnight, officers were called to the area of 98th Ave and Mockingbird Drive for a reported shooting. Once on the scene, investigators say officers found 46 year old Lonnie Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to CUMC-Bergan Mercy, where it was determined that his injuries were non-life threatening.
Lonnie's 19 year old son, Malik Williams, was arrested at the scene. Malik was booked into Douglas County Corrections on charges of 1st Degree Felony Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. The investigation is ongoing.
