Inmate missing from Lincoln Community Corrections Center

(Lincoln, NE) -- The search is on for an inmate missing from a Lincoln prison facility.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services say 37 year old Eric Kluthe was on work release from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln on Thursday, when he failed to come back from his lunch break.

NDCS says Kluthe’s started his three year sentence on March 25, 2020. He was sent to prison on charges out of Platte County that include strangulation and third degree domestic assault. He had a tentative release date of June 23, 2021. CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.

Kluthe is described as a white man, 6’ 4”, 220 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.
