It took Omaha firefighters about 20 minutes to bring a Thursday morning fire under control in the kitchen area of the "Village Inn Restaurant" near 138th and West Maple Rd.
Investigators say no one was in the business, which was was not open at the time, and no injuries were reported.
The alarm was called in around 3 a.m. by an Omaha Police officer, who noticed the smoke.
