First Omaha Homicide Of 2021 Is Investigated

Less than three hours into the New Year, Omaha has it's first homicide.

Omaha Police say just before 3 a.m., officers were sent to the "Days Inn and Suites" at 115th and Miracle Hills Drive for a shooting call.

They found 26-year old James Reed in a room deceased.

A second victim, 29 year old Tyshown Ashley, suffered non-life threatening injuries in the shooting. He was treated at a hospital;

The investigation is ongoing.
