Snow emergencies in place for many metro cities

(Omaha, NE) -- A number of snow emergencies are in place for cities across the Omaha metro.

Snow emergencies have been declared for the following places:

  • Bellevue
    • All residents should remove their vehicles from the roads so that the Street Department can plow
  • Carter Lake
    • Effective 9 p.m. Monday through 9 p.m. Wednesday
  • Bennington
    • Effective at 11 p.m. Monday to noon Wednesday
  • Fremont
    • Effective to 6 a.m. on Wednesday
  • Gretna
    • Alert Through Wednesday at 8 a.m.
  • La Vista
    • Effective at 8 a.m. Tuesday
  • Lincoln
    • Effective as of 1 p.m. Tuesday
  • Logan, IA
    • Alert through Wednesday
  • Papillion
    • 10 a.m. Tuesday through 8 a.m. Wednesday
      • Residents are asked to park vehicles off the street
  • Ralston
    • Effective at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday
      • Vehicles should be moved off the streets to allow for plows to get through
  • Shenandoah, IA,
    • Effective once 2 inches of snow have fallen in the city on Tuesday. Remains in effect until the snow stops falling and the streets have been plowed from curb to curb.
  • Valley
    • Effective noon Tuesday to noon Thursday
  • Yutan
    • Effective noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday
  • Pottawattamie County
    • Effective noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday
      • Vehicles cannot be parked on or along any public roadway during snow removal operations
  • Village of Arlington
    • Effective 6 a.m. Tuesday through 6 a.m. Wednesday
  • Village of Eagle
    • Effective 3 p.m. Tuesday until 4 p.m. Wednesday
