Omaha man tells police he was beaten, tied up and stabbed

An Omaha man tells police he was tied up, assaulted and cut Thursday afternoon.

Omaha Police say officers were called to a home near 26th and F for a reported cutting. There, police say, officers made contact with 37 year old Jason Guthrie. Investigators say Guthrie told officers that he had been tied up, assaulted, and cut by multiple suspects at another location, but had managed to escape. Police say evidence was found at a house about a block away, on 27th and F, where Guthrie said he'd been assaulted.

Guthrie was transported to Nebraska Medical Center where it was determined his injuries were non-life-threatening.

OPD says the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP, at www.omahacrimestoppers.org or on the P3 Tips mobile app.
