December's Holiday Market At Aksarben Village Canceled

Another Omaha event is being canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Holiday Market is normally held the first weekend in December at Aksarben Village.

Organizers of the German-style market say they canceled it for the health, safety and well being of the community.

“The decision to cancel this year’s Holiday Market was not made lightly, but our highest priority is the health and safety of our vendors, shoppers, staff, and the Omaha community,” says Omaha Public Market, Inc. Executive Director, Vic Gutman.

A virtual concept was considered but organizers say it was not possible due to budgetary concerns.

This year would have marked the 11th year of the market, which is normally a two-day event held under heated tents covering 15,000 square feet of decorated exhibitor space.
