Papillion Police ask for public's help in locating wanted man

The Papillion Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted on theft and weapons charges.

Investigators say 25 year old John Patrick Pitzer has an active arrest warrant for multiple charges, including Theft / Receiving stolen property in excess of $5000 and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Police say on Sunday, officers located a vehicle reported as stolen out of Omaha. They say when officers tried to contact Pitzer, he fled on foot. Investigators say Pitzer left his wallet and a gun behind in the vehicle. Papillion Police say his last known residence is in the area of 156th and Q Street.

Pitzer is described as a white male, 6’4” and weighing 175 pounds. Anyone who has seen Pitzer or knows of his whereabouts are urged to contact the Papillion Police Department at 402-597-2035.
