O-P-S Board Scheduled To Vote On Superintendent Contract Extension

On Wednesday, the Omaha Public Schools Board is scheduled to vote on a contract extension for Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Logan.

Pending final approval, the updated agreement would begin on July 1st of this year, and run through June 30th, 2023.

A district news release says Logan has declined a salary increase in the agreement.

The Superintendent also proposes a decrease in the transportation allowance by half in 2020, because of more limited travel throughout the district during this pandemic time.

The updated contract would allow the Superintendent to convert a set amount of unused leave for payment each year.

The proposal will go before the Board of Education at its meeting on Wednesday, May 13th at 6:30 P.M. The meeting will be held virtually and streamed on district.ops.org.
