Nebraska Lawmakers Suspend Session Due To COVID-19 Concerns

LINCOLN, Nebraska - The Nebraska Legislature suspended its 2020 session due to concerns over COVID-19 coronavirus. 6 News reports they are following Governor Pete Ricketts recommendation regarding gatherings of 50 people or less. The session was set to reconvene Tuesday but the suspension is underway until further notice.

There are many issues still on the table that need discussion but made the decision to suspend operations due to the health of the state and to protect lawmakers and others in the Unicameral.

They could hold a special session if necessary.
