Another Coronavirus Quarantine Will Arrive In Omaha Tonight

OMAHA, Nebraska - Another person that tested positive for coronavirus is being transferred to UNMC/Nebraska Medicine for monitoring. That person tested positive and was being monitored at the Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.

This person is the spouse of one of the 13 people in Omaha being monitored for the virus.

The scheduled arrival of this person is at 6 p.m., Monday, February 24th at Omaha's Eppley Airfield. This landing will be similar to previous arrivals with the plane remaining in an isolated area. The person will then be taken directly to the National Quarantine Unit on the UNMC/Nebraska Medical Center campus.

This will bring the number of people being monitored in Omaha to 14. Twelve are in the National Quarantine Unit and two are in the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit. One person was released from biocontainment today and is now in the quarantine unit. Twelve people have tested positive for COVID-19 while two remain negative.

The two that are negative could leave quarantine on March 2nd.
