A teenage swim instructor is accused of inappropriately touching a young swimmer during the summer swim program.
In a statement, Millard Public Schools officials say at the end of the program a swimmer said they had been touched inappropriately underwater by a swim instructor, who is a Millard student.
District officials say the parents contacted the program director who contacted Child Protective Services the same day.
That teenager was subsequently arrested and charged with touching a child inappropriately. "We have followed our code of conduct regarding the matter. The teen has not been involved with the swim program since we were made aware of the allegation," district officials say.
"We have been in contact with all involved, and have assisted police throughout their investigation."
