Omaha Police say three people watching an illegal street race north of Eppley Field were injured late Friday night after one of the cars hit them. It appears their injuries are non life-threatening. Investigators say a 1991 Honda Civic driven by 30-year old Daniel Ramirez of Omaha was eastbound on Abbott Dr. at a high rate of speed approaching Crown Point Ave.
Police say Ramirez lost control of the car, which careened onto a median, hitting a sign and the onlookers standing on the median.
Ramirez was cited for D-U-I, no insurance and reckless driving.
