A Council Bluffs man is accused of kidnapping a four year old girl and taking nude cell phone pictures of her.
Police were called to 1100 Marshall Avenue Monday night for a missing four year old girl. Investigators say a short time after officers arrived they saw 28 year old Michael Brandstrom bringing the missing child out of his apartment.
According to police, Brandstrom told officers he found the girl and brought her to his apartment to keep her safe. As their investigation continued, detectives learned that Brandstrom kept the girl in his apartment for over an hour without calling police.
Police say they searched Brandstrom’s apartment and found a cell phone that had several nude photos of the girl. Brandstrom was booked for third-degree kidnapping and lascivious acts with a child. Additional charges are pending.
