Washington County, Nebraska A 14 year old Washington County boy is facing charges in an accident July 5th outside of Blair. That accident claimed the life of 14 year old Heidy Martinez.
Investigators say there two boys and four girls, ages 13 and 14 in a Chevy Blazer when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled. The five other occupants were taken to hospitals for treatment. Only one person was wearing a seat belt. Investigators say that Martinez was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The 14 year old is charged in juvenile court with felony motor vehicle homicide, reckless driving and felony 2nd degree assault. A woman is charged with six counts of negligent child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
