NSP Finds Drugs And Money During Traffic Stop Near North Platte

Nebraska State Patrol troopers arrested two people around 8 a.m. Tuesday after a traffic stop on I-80 near North Platte.

The trooper saw an eastbound BMW speeding and stopped the vehicle. The trooper noticed an odor of marijuana inside.

A search turned up 16 pounds of methamphetamine, smaller amounts of heroin, cocaine, prescription pills and marijuana. Troopers also found three loaded handguns inside.

The driver, Richard Adams, 27, of Corona, California, and passenger, Kacee Jones, 26, of Wichita, Kansas, were arrested for numerous charges related to possession of controlled substances, possession with intent to deliver, possession of firearms during the commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, and other related charges. Both were booked into the Lincoln County Jail.
