Jefferson County Sheriff's Office identified the person killed possibly on July 4th as 28 year old Marc Jarrell of Lincoln.
Deputies were notified of of the crime on the 4th. On July 5th, a suspect’s vehicle was located. Trey Saathoff of Diller was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The investigation continued and that led to the discovery of the crime scene.
On July 7th, suspects Jerry Gilbert and Caitlyn Grable were arrested after a brief standoff in Fairbury. Sorenson and Gilbert led authorities to the body that was found on a county road near Endicott on July 8th.
On July 9th, Realidy Schram was arrested. On July 10th, Logan Evans of Beatrice was arrested. Both are charged as being an accessory to 2nd degree murder.
Charges for the other three involved range from 2nd degree murder, use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, accessory to 2nd degree murder to possession of a controlled substance.
