Trail Pleads Guilty To Improper Disposal Of Human Remains

The man accused of killing Sydney Loofe of Lincoln pleaded guilty to improperly disposing of human remains. He had earlier pleaded not guilty to those charges.

Loofe’s body was found in garbage bags in rural Clay County in December of 2017. Aubrey Trail is also charged with her murder and jury selection is underway. That will likely continue on Tuesday. Trail's trial is expected to last two weeks.

Trail's defense attorney says Loofe's death was accidental. Trail and Bailey Boswell are accused of strangling Loofe and disposing of her body. Trail and Boswell were charged with Loofe's death one year ago.

Trail's trial will be held in Saline County and is expected to last about four weeks. The State is seeking the death penalty if Trail is found guilty.
