A woman was killed in a head-on crash on Highway 92 in Saunders County Monday morning. Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB it happened between Mead and Wahoo around 7:00.
He says a Chevy Malibu was westbound on 92 when the driver suddenly crossed the center line and into the path of an eastbound semi.
"Witnesses stated that they had followed this vehicle for some time and there was no unusual driving," Stukenholtz says. "At the time the semi was approaching the vehicle abruptly went into the other lane and was struck by the semi."
Stukenholtz says the woman killed is from Fremont, but her name has not been released. The truck driver was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released.
