Longtime Omaha City Councilman and former Omaha Mayor Subby Anzaldo was at Tuesday's City Council meeting. That is where he learned the Columbus Park Community Center at 22nd and Woolworth Avenue would be named in his honor.
Anzaldo was an interim mayor in 1994 for a short time and then spent about ten years on the city council.
Anzaldo was a longtime advocate of South Omaha.
