Employee Shot At Bucky's By Armed Robber

A gas station employee was rushed to the hospital after being shot by an armed robber.

Omaha Police say officers responded to the Bucky's at 30th and Dodge Street just after 3:00 Monday morning to investigate a robbery where the clerk was shot. Officers arrived and located the victim, 22 year old Jacklin Cherry, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Cherry told officers that a man wearing a mask, hooded sweatshirt and red pants confronted her in the kitchen area of the business. She says she pushed the suspect out of the kitchen but the suspect shot her before leaving the business.

Cherry was rushed to the Nebraska Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
