Council Bluffs Police say a 21 year old woman was killed in a two vehicle crash Thursday evening near Lake Manawa. Drive. Officers were called to the 4800 Block of East Manawa Drive around 6:00.
Officers arrived on scene provided first-aid and used an AED on the badly injured Council Bluffs woman. She was taken to a hospital where she died. Her name has not been released as investigators notify her family.
The preliminary investigation shows the woman was southbound on East Manawa Drive when she lost control of her vehicle going around a curve and slid sideways into on-coming traffic and was hit by a northbound SUV. The driver of the SUV had minor injuries.
