Lincoln Woman Arrested After Trying To Ram Her Car Into An Apartment

A Lincoln woman is behind bars after allegedly trying to ram her car into another woman's apartment.

Lincoln Police say just after 4:30 Thursday afternoon, officers were dispatched to the area of 44th and F Street for a report of a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, they found a black 2014 Dodge Avenger high-centered on the south curb of F Street, between 44 th and 45 th streets.

Officers contacted the driver, 34 year old Danielle A. Norey as well as the victim. The victim told officers that Norey had knocked on her door, and when the woman opened the door with the safety latch secure, Norey tried to hit and punch her way through the opening. She then later heard her sliding glass door shatter.

Officers observed a broken door handle and scrawled messages on the door about how “Someone loves to (expletive) other people’s husbands.” The officers also saw car tracks leading towards the victim’s ground level apartment, but a bush and a pillar prevented the vehicle from crashing into the apartment. A branch from a bush outside the victim’s sliding glass door was located in the front bumper of Norey’s vehicle.

The total damage was approximately $350 and Norey was arrested on charges of Disturbing the Peace and Injuring/Destroying the Property of Another.
