District 66 has a new superintendent. Dr. Mike Lucas will serve as the next superintendent of Westside Community Schools.
The announcement came Monday night after the district's school board voted unanimously to select Lucas. Currently, Lucas is the superintendent of York Public Schools in York, Nebraska.
His new role will begin in July when Dr. Blane McCann retires.
