Woman Recovering After Being Struck By Vehicle

A pedestrian is recovering after being hit by a car Sunday night. 

Omaha Police say around 8:40, officers were called to the area of 48th and Burdette Street for a personal injury crash involving a single vehicle and pedestrian. 

The investigation revealed that the pedestrian, 48 year old Amber Subba. was walking northbound in the middle of 48th Street when was struck from behind by a northbound Dodge Avenger. Subba was transported to Nebraska Medicine for treatment of non life-threatening head and facail injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle, 35 year old Pah Dee Dee, was cited for DUI.
