Two people were seriously injured in a wrong-way, head-on crash on I-80 in Pottawattamie County just after midnight.
It happened near mile marker 12 east near McClelland. Investigators say Debra Havick of Harlan was driving her Chevy Equinox eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-80 when she crashed head-on into another car.
Havick and the other driver, 20-year-old Joel Becerra of Walnut, were seriously injured. Becerra was flown to Nebraska Medical Center hospital by helicopter. Havik was taken to Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Authorities say both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The investigation continues.
