Woman Arrested For String Of Walgreens Robberies

Omaha police have arrested a 24 year old woman they believe is responsible for a string of Walgreens robberies since Halloween.

The arrest came following a reported robbery at the Walgreens at 90th and Blondo around 9:30 Tuesday morning.

According to police, employees told them that two women entered the store and took property. Investigators deemed the incident to be a felony theft case and not a robbery.

During their investigation officers found the suspect vehicle at 56th St. and Northwest Radial Highway with three women inside. They were all taken to police headquarters for questioning.

After questioning, officers booked Dawnisha Leroy for four counts of robbery and one count of felony theft.

Police believe she is responsible for robberies at four Walgreens stores since the end of October.
